About me

I have always loved drawing.
I started drawing at the age of six or seven. My first subjects, unaware of being, were people felt asleep or simply distracted (as me) during the saturday mass celebration. I watched them, I tried to remember their somatic features and then when I was back home I started with paper and pencils. That time I ignored that portrait subject should have walked with me for so long, and that speculative approach should have been a part of my actual work.

Then at the University of Architecture I joined artistic drawing with technical one and I started to love graphic design; I have to say, my learning activity hasn't been so straight, but certainly it has been very rich and it has given me the possibility to try different kind of drawing.

Since 1997, after the university studies, I start to work in Turin with Anikibobo studio as illustrator and graphic designer; two years after I started my actual work as freelance. Then my core business is changed from the illustration - mainly vectorial - to web design and multimedia products.

Main softwares I use for the web are Flash, Dreamweaver and Wordpress, Joomla for dynamic websites; for illustrations and graphic deisgn I use Illustration, Photoshop and In Design. But without even considering the technology, 'cause in the end it's only a medium, my goal is to do graphic stuffs and website with a clear and functional interface and then, if it's possible, original too.

Mi è sempre piaciuto disegnare.
Ho iniziato che avrò avuto sì e no sei anni.
I miei primi soggetti, inconsapevoli di esserlo, sono state le persone che si addormentavano o si distraevano (come me) durante la messa del sabato sera. Le osservavo, cercavo di ricordarne i tratti principali e una volta tornato a casa mi armavo di carta e penna. Allora ignoravo che il tema del ritratto mi avrebbe accompagnato per così tanti anni, e in un certo senso ancora oggi è parte del mio lavoro.

I principali programmi che uso per il web sono Flash, Dreamweaver e per i siti dinamici Wordpress e Joomla; per l'illustrazione e la grafica uso Illustrator, Photoshop e In Design. Ma al di là della tecnologia, che alla fine è solo un mezzo, il fine è quello di realizzare prodotti web caratterizati prima di tutto da un'interfaccia chiara e funzionale e poi, se possibile, anche originale.
